Plugged in and disconnected

So I overdid it, I over blogged! Bloody hell, first day into my new career as a free lance journalist (smirk) and I went bonkers. I got too excited and carried away. I started to write a post called "My story". Suddenly ninety minutes had gone, I started to feel hungry (no wonder as it had been four hours since breakfast!) then dizzy and then started to wonder if I was coming down with something. Then I realised, too much screen time. My god I used to sit in front of a computer for ten hours a day but these days it's all done in short bursts on my little iPhone.

I had some food whilst sitting in the sunshine, had a walk to see my Chooks, listened to some soothing music. Still felt crap. I had to go to town to get Milly so I saw a few local faces, a few chats, greetings and smiles were exchanged. Then I had the pleasure of a cup of Rooibos with my braw pal ROSIE (she'll get that emphasis) and I began to feel grounded again.

Just this morning on a fave podcast I heard how facial recognition is important for our health and well being. Makes sense right? I think that it was the getting into the community and chatting to folk at the local shops school, petrol station etc that re balanced the over blogging that I did. I haven't published that post, not sure if I will, it was way super long.

In summary: don't spend too long in front of a screen and get out into the community smile and say hello to folk.

Here's a picture (getting fancy now ey?) of some gingeraid I've being brewing from whey, ginger, lemons, water and rice malt syrup. Gonna give it a try tonight. It's a Sarah Wilson recipe, love her.
